That's a good tip, thanks for the information. If there is a mining trainer in Goldshire (not sure) that would be a good idea, else on the way through Stormwind I could have picked it up then.

Hi Tyson,
I just found your website and am really enjoying your podcasts. It's probably too late for you, but I always found when doing the Fargodeep Mine quests, that I would train mining first. The kabolds drop a shovel that can be used as a mining pick, and its a good way to get a stack or 2 of copper while your doing your quests. On my server copper goes for 70s a stack, so it quite a good way to get seed money.

It gets easier to get back to DN later because you get a Teleport to Moonglade spell at 10 that you can use anytime you want. In fact, most druids (pre-TBC) would use that as a quick way to get to that continent and fly somewhere from there... (There are two FPs in Moonglade: a Druid one, in the town, that will take you to Rutheran Village, and a "General purpose one", south of the lake. I'd advise you to take both because should you need to go to Auberdine or other places you can do that from the 2nd one directly without going first to Rutheran...
Also, I've noted that you podcasted without a script: it would probably be a nice idea to lay out on a piece of paper or computer file the ideas/thoughts you want to convey and organize those a bit before recording the actual podcast: only takes a few minutes and your podcasts will surely benefit from that! :)

As long as you continue questing, I strongly suggest you to get back to DN, but first set your HS in Goldshire and talk to the druid trainer in SW: I don't know if he gives you the Teleport spell, but at worst he should give you a quest to go to DN...

Getting Bear form is a MUST. Your survivability is MUCH more increased with extra armor, hp, attacks on multiple targets (swipe), mob damage reduction from Demoralizing Roar, which all together with a HoT or two means that your odds against multiple targets simply improve A LOT! As usual, go feral for faster leveling!

My suggestions for talents: 5/5 in Ferocity; 2/2 in Brutal Impact (useful to land a heal with a mob frozen in place or to finish up runners before they start doing so), 3/5 in Feral Aggression, 2/2 in Feral Swiftness for a 30% speed boost in cat form, finish up Feral Aggression, (skip Feral Charge: it's more useful if you have 5/5 in Furor but it's too soon for that!), get your first point in Sharpened Claws to open up the next tier and get 3/3 in Predatory Strikes; finish up Sharpened Claws and you're at lvl 30 now. If you get this far, and I'm still around, I'll give you some more pointers for more talents. You may want to pick up the Feral Faerie Fire talent now, aka: "Hey, you mob! Come over here!". Pretty handy to pull mobs to you without leaving cat form!

Needless to say, but I say it nevertheless!, that after you get your cat form (which has no quest but is simply learned from trainer), you should be doing your fights in cat form. Start with an HoT or two if needed, then cat away.

Hope you have fun! My only 70 is a feral druid and they're pretty fun to play and versatile once you get the hang of it!

Thanks, knowing the run from D. to SW was a long one, the temptation was too much to stay in Teldrassil for me. Essentially, I felt I had enough money to at least check the auction house, and waiting until Stormwind (where my base will be so I don't have to meet people in D. for one-on-one trades) seemed like a good motivator. It's also exciting at a low level, too :).

To be truthful I don't know how much past lvl 10 I'm going to get. This is an unfamiliar server so I've no friends here yet. Perhaps though, because I've always wanted to play a druid (for tank and cat forms mainly... my mains have always been priests). Either way, appreciate the comment and stay tuned, it will only get better.

You shouldn't have left so soon! You get a bear quest at 10! You could easily level in Teldrassil to 10 and use the Darnassus AH for the first go...

BTW: since your goal is GOLD, skip the two annoying class quests that you get at 14 and 16: cure poison and aquatic form: they're not THAT important given your goal and simply take TOOO much time and walking around... Also, there's a druid trainer in The Park in SW...
