@Pheragas:

Thanks for listening! At the beginning, I was simply using the "short duration" technique to look at auctions in addition to many other ways but certainly not solely. In fact, you'll find that I use and prefer buyouts as well, but that looking at short durations is just another way to find a potential good deal.

There is not one way that's the best way.... otherwise, everyone would be doing it and it would quickly become the un-best way. The best thing is to be diversified in your searches and be able to find deals from any direction.

Hi Tyson, I`m listening to your 3rd podcast right now. I see that so far you almost always bid on short items and not really buyout anything. I currently use the auctioneer addon and never bid on anything, I only look for buyout deals. Do you think this is a mistake? Should I concentrate on bids for low items instead? Thanks.

Hey. Just wanted to say thanks for the website. I'm downloading all the podcasts and I'll start listening to them tomorrow. I started to use the AH last week to try to make serious money and I'm glad I found your website. Good luck on the 1000 :)

My pleasure. The only reason I mentioned it is because my laptop speakers are not that good and the only way that I could hear you was to compress your feed.
Audio Recording is really a find art, but you are doing well. keep it up!

That sounds in line with my "main" server. On horde, usually about 1 page, a little more of epics (the majority of which being void crystals), and on alliance usually from 3 to 5.

On the "march to" server, haven't tried horde, but alliance is usually about 4 page of epics. Roughly 200 on sale at any one time. Usually you can with some degree of accuracy predict the amount of other notable stuff on sale just by the amount of epics. Your server doesn't sound too far off from the norm however. Everyone will have dry spells, I've had lots. Something I think would apply to any market.

@Tagor, thanks a lot for the tutorial, I'm just getting into this so did not know any of that. I'm sure that it will help and will use it and perhaps even replace all my existing ones with improved versions.

I have a trader on both horde and alliance side, and the amount of stuff in Ally side is approximately 3 to 4 times that of Horde. Strangely enough, the Horde side seems to be more in unison with the prices, and Ally, with larger item base, is generally lower in mean prices.

Usually on Horde side there are around 1 page of epics, while on Ally side 3 to 5.

I'll come back on that later. I have some trouble with my computer, my new vid card created some mess...
