Barter System Trading (ala Diablo 3)

It hasn’t yet been officially stated whether Diablo 3′s trading/barter system will work similar or even remotely close to Diablo 2′s, but let’s assume for the sake of this article that it will be in the ballpark (with I’m sure some needed chat upgrades).
