I think its very cool you've taken one single part of WoW and turned it into the main game! I used to love standing around in IF doing deals with people (mainly buying primals in bulk and selling them on for a profit; essentially creating my own business in WoW.). There are certainly conflagarations ("anus [insert spell/quest/item]") for minutes on end but eventually people grow tired of it. The banter notwithstanding, the trade channel is the lowest price you will get for items/trade goods among competent players; it serves as a lower limit for the price of goods. Even if you actively make deals with people, observing the prices advertised for commonly traded goods can give you a heads up on market moves.
